I have had my hosting business running now since the end of December but am finding it really hard to find clients.

Does anybody know any good ways of getting clients. I'm thinking of starting to go around my local businesses but want to expand to users who are sort of new to the hosting thing.

    Thanks

I don't think you could have gotten into a more saturated and competative business sans openning a restaraunt in NYC.

With that said. Your are on the right track with going to local business. You may also try to cultivate relationships with local web designers.

    Best of luck.

Local businesses is a great way to go, and should allow you to charge a higher monthly fee by adding more of a personal touch. Another method I've seen people do is auction off website designs on Ebay and include a year of hosting with it. Generally the clients will stay with you after their year is up. You'd just need a developer that was able to provide the designs for you.
