I'm trying out a campaign, but the affiliate company does not allow ppc ads to show with their name as the keyword (search term)

    Example:

Term: Aff Company is NOT allowed
Term 2: Aff Company Product IS allowed

How do i set up my campaign so Term 2 displays my ad while search term one does not?

I used "Aff Company" as a negative keyword but then it blocks all my other keywords.

    thx

You have to study your keyword matching from broad match to negative keyword, that way you don't unknowingly include keywords that should be there in the first place.

try testing out long tail keywords that indicate action such as, "buy acai berry online"

Campaigns tab --> Keywords tab --> roll down to "Negative keywords" --> add the unallowed expression in brackets, like: "brand"

Better put such expressions in the campaign level

If you're allowed to bid on "(brand) reviews" but not on "brand" - then add Negative-Exact, like: [brand]

AdWords, unlike AdCenter, enables you to play with the different combinations of Negative keywords
