I need some visual help with the title on my pages.. I am not a pro with photoshop, but I need to make Affordable Insurance Quotes at the top of the page stand out and look more professional... Any suggestions on a simple way to make this title look better???? http://www.dontoverspend.com

    Thanks

Bolder font - impact, maybe? white with dark blue shadow? Not very cutting edge, I know but it wouls stand out better, I think

You need to make sure you anti-alias the text...

What kind of font are you looking for?
    Funky? Traditional? Contemporary?

I have lots of fonts and could suggesst a few if you give me an idea of what you're looking for.

I personally would develop a logo that included the text. It seems a bit hollow like something is missing.

Certainly some bulk would help balance the page and make it look right.

Well... I think maybe the logo would help... even a unique font design would suffice. I would be happy with a word only title if it would look right...

Word only can work quite well...

I used quite a funky font for the Co-op FAQ that works really well...

A bit of drop shadow on header image fonts also helps lift the title from the page a bit....

I'll have a dig in my fonts and see if I can find anything...

Impact is just a bit to heavy for me (Personally) but something similiar could work well... :)

    OK, install the font...

Open the PSD in PS (You need to open PS after you've installed the font).

Select the copy, Select the font from the font drop down.

Select the size and make sure you have anti-ailsing(Sp?!?) set to Crisp...

Then go to the layers window, and click the button that looks like an italic f.

Select drop shadow, and play with the opacity and distance until it looks right...

if you get stuck I can do it for you...
