Help with my business / entrepreneur forum business

OK, well i own www.EntrepreneurForum.co.uk - been up 1 year now, and its getting steady traffic, each day, its hitting around 2000k Uniques a month, and on average around 100 +/- a day.

It's a PR 2 atm, and i'm hoping that to rise to a PR 3/4 on the next update, but what i want to know is how i can get more visitors to my site, i'm 3rd in google.com for the result ''entrepreneur forum'' and first on the google.co.uk engine, so my positioning is alright, i need to tackle the key words ''business forum'' which i'm unsure on how to go about that to be honest, i've put it in my meta tags etc.

What i would like to know is how i can get more visitors to my site, from 100 a day to 200 for example, and how to maximize my revenue earnings from the site, at the moment al i have is bidvertiser and there payout is poor, so some suggestions on that would be helpful also.

Also i would like any suggestions of some side websites i can link from the forum business related etc.

    Thanks for your time.

I'd remove the advertising altogether, until you build up decent traffic. You can try and rank for the keyword "business forum" by buying backlinks and using that as the anchor text, as well as making sure "business forum" appears a few times on your index page.

Well I dont know if I can be a ton of help as I run a successful webmaster forum hitting 1300 members.

But Maybe exchanging links or banners with a few sites like mine could help us all grow?

I think you should hire some forum posters to make it more active.

This is a good idea, and also linking to other similar sites.

I agree with KingofKings and techlady, buy some links in other related sites with more than 1000 visits (per day) and hire some active members for posting day to day.

    My 2 cents:
    - I agree that ads should be something you add later when you have a lot more traction (critical mass).
    - I've used paid posters before and they're ok for more general forums, but I think it would be VERY difficult to find paid posters that will add worthwhile content to your forum so personally I'd pass on that idea.
    - Like websites, entrepreneurs come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.... What type of entrepreneur are you targeting? Online entrepreneurs? Woman entrepreneurs? Wanna be entrepreneurs? Targeting ALL entrepreneurs is a huge task and building a critical mass of entrepreneurs in your community will be very difficult.

Having said that, perhaps try offering experienced entrepreneurs free advertising/links on your site in return for their being available to answer some questions posted by other wanna be's and less experienced entrepreneurs.

This would provide a valuable service to the questioners and guarantee some quality content thanks to the experienced entrepreneurs.

    Best of success!
