I have my blog, which I decided today that I'm going to start utilizing again. I seem to have a problem though. I do know a website/blogs title helps with indexing and SEO, however I don't want the title to be above my blog. So you can get an idea of what I'm talking about, my blog is @ http://jbmedia2.blogspot.com So the two questions I have are: 1. How can I get the blue text above my banner to disappear but still be set as my title? 2. How can I make it so my banner isn't underlapping, and it covers the whole area its suppose to. Any help on these matters is deeeply appreciated! Thank you!!
The problem is not with the title, it is that you have this extra code: Get rid of all of this code and the link will disappear and the title will stay. Title tags are the <title>text here</title> As for the image, you will need to add padding so that it doesn't go all the way to the edge and you will need to make it wider to fit that area (you can stretch it, but that will make the image distorted- I recommend editing the source image and uploading the new, wider one)
Thanks for the help buddy Appreciate it. One more quick question, is the only way I can get a domain with this blogger account is to have it hosted through blogger? Not exactly what I want.. Thanks for any extra info! EDIT: And where exactly is that code found at? It's not in Template HTML And under the "Title" in blogger something is required to be placed there. There's nothing in the description, just in the title, which is what's putting the big blue letters above my banner.. Any further assistance?
Ok. So how else can I get that text at the top of my blog to go away? I looked in the coding and what myp suggested seems not to be there.
The code I pasted above is definitely somewhere in one of your layout files (perhaps it calls it from somewhere else?) because I copy/pasted that code directly from your blog's source code.
Well, underneath the title, you have to post something in the title. It won't let you save if you don't. And there's no html code in the description. I went to the layout HTML and tried CTRL + F to find the text you were speaking of but there's no luck. I also scrolled through it quite good just to double check. It obviously has to do with the Title that I have to have something in the place of. Is there an HTML code that can hide text? Maybe that would work if i knew what it was. Thanks for the support!
hey there is no need to edit your blogger settings and remove your title <a expr:href='data:blog.homepageUrl'><data:title/></a> you will find this code in your blogger template.. This code displays the title of the blog. If you remove this line of code, that link JB Media will be removed.. and i didn't understand the second thing clearly.. And as you are using a blogger blog, i suggest you to submit your site feed as sitemap in webmastertools.. You have got nice tweaked <title> tags..of the form postname - blog name.. Sitemap for blogger
Ok, so I still can't find either of the codes one of you mentioned above, However I realized now that the find function doesn't work on the coding part of the page, since it's integrated or whatever. Where would these be located? More towards the beginning, middle of the script? I'm sorry that I'm so confused with it all
