    Hi,

Would appreciate any help - for some reason my sidebar seems to have jumped to the bottom of the page.

I've not made any changes to the blog so I'm not sure why it has done this, would appreciate any help.

    The URL is: http://www.footyblog.net

    +Reps for any help!

    Thanks

I can give it a try, if you don't mind. Send me the theme, or pm me the details.

What's your last activity (with your theme) before the sidebar goes down?

Last activity was probably when I added a Blogged.com network link to the bottom left corner of the blog and also added a small Blogged button on the right sidebar (this is the sidebar which seems to have caused the problem) but I don't see how it would have messed up the rest of the blog.

    Thanks for any help

Another thing I've just noticed - if I click on one of the posts on my blog, the sidebar reverts back to its normal position on the side of the blog, but when I go to the homepage it still gets pushed to the bottom of the page.

Not sure if this helps when it comes to fixing the problem, would really appreciate any more help.

You have added something that has coded dimensions larger than the area will allow. If I had to guess, I would say it has something to do with the relationship between your Google search bar and that image just to the left of it with the green "G' and the "view stats" link. That image seems to be pushing the entire sidebar too far right. Unless you change the layout width of the blog, it won't fit in the allotted space.

Also, If you have anything there that has .php code in it, it will break the blog. Like a "<div>" tag. That is usually why the side bar gets confused and follows the first command that it sees.

I know that is a pretty non-tech explanation, but that is usually the problems that I have had in the past.

    Thanks hmansfield.

I thought that the G view stats button was only viewable to me when I was logged in, I didn't realise that everyone could see it. I'm trying to remove it to see if thats causing the problem but I can't actually remember where I added it  I don't suppose you can tell where it is just by looking at it on the blog?

I've managed to get rid of the G View Stats button but the sidebar is still getting forced to the bottom of the page :(

    Any other ideas?

I can't view the code on the page, every time I try, I get a FF crash, (Which is pretty strange)

Is it possible that you have made some changes to the template files ? Looks as if your sidebar is in between the <div> tags that control that control the page layout...the reason I say that is because it's not forced to the bottom on the sidebar section....it's below the main content.

If you haven't made any changes to the theme files, the easiest way to troubleshoot would be to reinstall the theme files...especially the index.php, page.php, and sidebar.php.
IF you inadvertently moved something or deleted a tag, that should revert it back to it's normal stage...mind you , I am guessing based on issues that I have had in the past.

I was able to view the page source in Firefox - is that where you are having problems?

And i've made a few changes to the template but when I saved them the sidebar was acting fine :(

Thanks for trying to help still

I'm just guessing, but it seems like you are missing a complete command, or have two of them combined. Possibly a missing , or </div> tag.
...sorry I couldn't help more, but you know reinstalling the theme files will at least get it back to normal, you just have to re do your modifications.

hmansfield, was right when said about placing some content that oversize intended place.
bad_bob00, your design is broken even when I click on the post title and open post page. I see the GoStats image in the top of page. Please remove the counter code (for test) or place it in separated div before last </body>. Then please remove temporarily (for test) image links "Listed on Soccer Blogs" and "as featured on Eat Sleep Football" or try so set explicit image sizes 80 x 15.

Seems like he still hasn't gotten it fixed, but the sidebar is just off a tad...I'd put money on the stats button...it's aligned with the search box (which is a lot of code anyway) and is probably pushing it too far right.

I couldn't find the code for the GoStats image so what I did was disable the plugin. Was this the right thing to do? I can't remember if I installed any code for it or whether I just uploaded and enabled the plugin.
Also I have removed the image links "Listed on Soccer Blogs" and "as featured on Eat Sleep Football" but this doesn't seem to have changed anything.

The sidebar is still pushed right to the bottom of the page :(

Thanks for trying to help, would appreciate any other ideas.

bad_bob00, I've just checked your site and it look fine! Pleast press F5 and refresh the page content. It seems you see the cached page.

Thanks for the post Bambino88, someone has been trying to fix it for me and I thought it had been done but when I click onto a post title the layout seems to be mixed up (sidebar sections get put on the main content of the page). Hopefully I can get this fixed too :(

    Thanks again

Yeah, looks fine here too. I even clicked a few post titles, and everything seems to be aligned back up.

For some reason the problem has come back. All I did was enable/disable some plugins and add a post to the blog. I've tried disabling the plugins that I enabled but its still displaying strange for me :(

Realised now that whenever I publish a new post on the blog it forces the sidebar down the page, anyone got any idea why? :(
