I would try to blend your adsense a little more. Standing out can actually turn people away from clicking. But at the same time you want people to see them. As far as content, I would say you should try customizing your blog a little more. There are tutorials on downloading skins for your blogspot blog which is good to do to look a little more lively. Also ping your blog every time you post on a new subject. This will get it out there faster than you can link build and will get you some traffic fast. Thats about it for me, while there are many more things you can do to make your blog SEO friendly try doing a search on yahoo. Thats right I said do a search on yahoo. Google gets enough credit the way it is.
