I started blogging recently and I have over 50 artices posted on my blogs, now I would like to build backlinks for my articles. Right now I am trying to build signature links to my site. SO, the question is should I link the homepage of my site or should i link articles with the particular keywords on various sites. Also does linking more than one site in the signature link recognized by the search engine. I mean are both the links counted as valid backlinks !
When you link to more than one site, both would be recognized as valid backlinks. I'm not really an SEO expert, but personally, I link to the homepage in my signature, and save the deeplinking for posting comments on other blogs. If that's not a sound strategy, hopefully someone who knows more about SEO will correct me

Deeplinking is when backlink liks to your blog internal pages (articles) My suggestion is to build 1/2 of backlinks to your your domain and others spread over to your internal pages. I am using this kind of method for most of my sites with really good success so far
I would like to suggest to you that, you can use your home page and sub page of URL and focus on keyword. and do submission like all off page activity. In Off Page submission, you will get backlinks regularly day to day visitors.
You should promote your every articles page to rank for different keywords. Also if you have any niche specific blog then you can promote your home page with master keyword. There have no issue if you promote more than one blog in your signature as long as every single page have single promotion link.
