I've heard from a few different places and people that, you shouldn't build or get more then 50 new backlinks a week for a new site or blog. Is this true? What would be the best way to go, I know you don't want to many backlinks right away because Goog will just dump you quick, but how do you even the score? Is there a certain number thats been working good for anyone else? Should I build backlinks writting articles and submitting them to article directories one day, then find dofollow blogs to comment on the next, then the day after that, submit my site to seo friendly directories and so on & so on.. Whats a good strategy and how much is too much. I don't want to go to slow either when I can get things done faster. Wheres the line to walk, how many links should I add and how quickly or slowly should I be adding them a day, week, month? Thanks
50 links a week is good, it doesn't matter how much you get in a day, it just matters if you stay consistent or not, if you get 1000 links one day and than stop it will look suspicious but if you build links every day its natural
With several thousand posts in multiple forums and hundreds of pages across many blogs, all under my control, I slapped up a link for a new website that generated thousands of backlinks in one day. I did that two weeks ago. It just got a PR1 on last weekends update. My point? I guess I don't have one except that the links were not natural and Google did not seem to mind.
Submit your links natuarlly and manually. A few links a day will suffice. Try doing internal link building as well.
submit 2 articles per week to over 50 article directories, make 10 forum posts per day, create a blog and post 5 times per week, social bookmark everything you do, blog comment daily, mmmm that is all for now i think
