I am trying to learn how to make a landing page but google doesnt really help to much, and I want to learn how to make a landing page and import it to a hostgator account and which website software would be best for landing pages.
The cheapest. No, that was not sacrcasm. For once. Any ol' program will do, so...go with the cheapest. Simple sites, for the most part, are nothing but tables and cells. Go to your local software stores and talk to the people there.
Have you tried looking at website template sites where you could maybe make a template fit your needs, possibly removing, shifting, adding elements to the page? Would save you having to put together the landing page from scratch.
You can start with GIMP to create graphics and then using a free WYSIWYG editor you can just make the landing page according to your needs. If you want to shell a huge amount of money then I' recommend you to go for Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dreamweaver to create high quality landing pages. But alongwith these softwares, you should use some creativity to design great landing pages.
if i made a landing page with a free editor how would I go about putting it on a website? would wordpress be good to use for landing pages?
