    dear all

I am a adwords newbie. I am using adwords to use my affiliate links.
Lets say I am selling "x system"
when I use the adwords keyword tool and search for "x system"

I see below that the competition is high for this keyword aswell as search volume.

However I also see that the search volume is high and competition very low for the keyword "x systems" (note the "s" in systems)

    1. Have I really found a goldmine? How can I effectively use this to my advantage?
    2. Should I use the "x systems" as a keyword in my campaigns? with exact match or broad match?
    3. The keywords we get using the keyword tool are broad or exact?

Can someone please tell me if I can use this to my advantage somehow? Or is this common?

    Someone please guide.

    Cheers,
    prasad.

    hi brother,

yes you are at goldmine. having little compitition and
more search valume is a dreamy situation. use that
    keyword.

but one thing remember the keyword tool only
gives you an idea not exact figure so depending
lot on keywords tool is not a good technique.

first you have to experienced it and see whether
you get loss or profit. As you know adwords
is a game of risk.Always people first suffer loos
with it then after a long time the get adwords
    expert and earn profit.

As you are a newbie you should look at
some other traffic driven resources as well as
lotsof other resources also give you traffic.its my advice

    hope helpful

I'm afraid you have almost certainly not found a "goldmine". Sorry to disappoint!

By default, the Adwords Keyword Tool provides broad match keyword suggestions. This means that, if there are a lot of advertisers bidding on the broad match singular form of a keyword, these advertisers' ads will generally also be displayed for queries involving the plural form.

If you do find that there is a significant difference in the number of ads being displayed for the singular and plural forms of a keyword and you want to go ahead and bid on the variety with the least competition, do so using exact match.

Remember: use the Adwords Keyword Tool just to get an idea of search volumes and the extent of competition. Never take the results as fact, as they are never precise. For a more accurate idea as to the amount of competition you might face for a particular keyword, just search for the keyword on Google. Note that, if you live in a country outside the one that you wish to target, you will not be able to see the target country's ads unless you use a proxy, or the Ad Preview Tool.

You can change the match type of the keywords presented by the Adwords Keyword Tool by modifying the drop-down menu of the Match Type column located to the right of the Average Search Volume column.
