Hi there. I'm runing a game faniste. it's a fansite about project offset and my question is: do i write keywords like this: project offset, project offset fansite, project offset videos, project offset images, project offset media, project offset gameplay, etc... or like this: project offset, fansite, videos, images, media, gameplay, etc... in order to get higher results on google! I curently am in the top 10-30 in google and top 10-20 on yahoo but for example when i write down "project offset videos" in google my website is in the low 30's or if i write "project offset" only i can't find it even in the 60's, even though my website is specificly about project offset and all related content! So what is best in order to get better results in google? Also some meta description information on what to write is really apriciated! thanks in advance +rep to the helpful posts!
Hi Slick, your first set project offset, project offset fansite, project offset videos, project offset images, project offset media, project offset gameplay, etc... is wrong. It might cause you a penalization for keyword stuffing, although the keyword tag does not help you a lot for your ranking in the SERPs, a misuse can trigger a filter. This is correct project offset, fansite, videos, images, media, gameplay, etc... don't stuff too many words. Keep it between 15 - 20 of your main keywords - the spiders don't crawl beyond 150 signs in the keyword tag. Please observe; don't place any keywords in the keyword and description tags that are not present in your page copy. The order of words is important; most important words first, less important towards the end. Your description meta tag should not exeed 200 signs (empty spaces count too); better are 185 than 201! If you can make it count 200 exactly, that's what works best on Google.
