Yes, use the google adwords tool, it will give you some ideas. You can also go use a thesaurus to get variations on some of the words you use, or that the adwords tool returns. Plug those into the adwords tool and you'll get more ideas. It will also give you search volume (make sure you select "exact" for accurate counts).

A little time plugging in words will give you a bunch of new ideas I'm sure!

start with the most broad keyword in your case Joomla, then as you are given ideas by google, dig deeper and find a longer keyword phrase with your original keyword then use that phrase in the keyword tool to to give you highly targeted keywords that are grouped and themed tightly.

Google AdWords: Keyword Tool, Seo Book Keyword Suggestion Tool, and Free Keyword Suggestion Tool From Wordtracker are the best keyword suggestion tools I have found in the web. Hope that helps! :)

Rather than using a tool to find keywords try to think of your targetted audience and what they would type in. For example you sale green apples now there are a ton of sites that sale green apples and you decide you want to take the top of a niche that does not sale green apples. You do your reasearch and find red apples is a niche much easier to conquer so you optimize your site for red apples, but are still selling green apples. You will get a bunch of people on your site wanting red apples, but finding green apples leading to a 100% bounce rate and a ton of wasted bandwidth. Optimize your website for the keywords that fit your website don't try finding a unique set of keywords unless they will help people searching for those keywords out. This should not be tricky or hard what is your site about and use google the google adwords tool to find related searches look through those and optimize your site for the keywords that will help your visitors. It seems to me you may be frustrated you picked a difficult niche to reach the top and are now looking for ways other than optimizing and link builing to reach the top. If you want unique keywords redo your entire site to fit a niche within a niche much more specific and then attempt to gain the first page of google.

I think you need to try SEO book keyword tool this is really powerful as Google adwords and i think its you who need to Judge the keywords for your sites. Word tracker is really good but Free version won't support that much.

I give you some tips like,
    1) Do not choose very generic keywords.
    2) Not to choose Highly competitive keywords.
    3) Try to use different key phrases suitable to your Primary keyword.
    4) Choose keyword with good search volume and less competition.

I hope this tips will work for you in choosing your keywords.

    Cheers :)
