Help with Keyword Targeting

I'm just hoping for some good advice/criticism here. I have a few different websites, one that is doing really good, one that is doing OK, and one that is doing pretty crappy. If any of you can just take a look at this site for me www.giftsunusual.biz and let me know what you think about my keyword choices. I'm going after a niche market, but maybe I'm going after too broad of subjects.
I can't even do live links yet, as I'm pretty new to this, but I'm just honestly looking for some helpful tips

 

For me, i like the site, but the design is certainly not the best. Now from SEO point of view, i think your have bolded your important keywords in all over the body text. I am not sure how can that help. But other than than, it is good. Now just try to build some quality backlinks to your site.

 

You should check some tools to check if the keyword you are using is competitive enough and if they have low competition to increase your chances of ranking for those particular keywords.

I think I was just bolding those words for aesthetic appeal. It was a long time ago. Can you point out some things from a design point of view that you didn't like? Is it too cluttered? Is the navigation bad?

 

Would you consider backlinks from this forum as quality?

 

I feel forum backlinks form any sources is not too good as they keep on fluctuating and we cannot get long term links to our site.

The site is great but i think you can try to be more creative with the colors.The background seems to be plain and i would suggest make it a more attractive for the customers eye.

 

Your site really great but one more thing you must edit your template or your design because it does not attract at all.

 

Submitting articles to get more backlinks would probably help.
