Help with Innerzoom script & label image

Hi, everyone. Unfortunately, I am not designer, so - forced to ask for help here.

The innerzoom script (example here: http://test-blog129.blogspot.com/2011/05/blog-post.html) is a nice feature that is used for magnifying effect. That looks really nice on my e-commerce site in items listing mode.

However, I have 2 labels that could be triggered for items. 'NEW' and 'SALE'. The example is here:




However, when the innerzoom script is initiated, we have a problem. Label is not 'on top' anymore. Z-index does not help. Example:



1. Is there any solution to this?
2. If not, what would be your suggestion to make labels a little differently?

z index looks at relativity, make sure both items have same relativity and then make the zindex higher.

also make it important to override
