The site I work on rank very high in most of the keywords suggested by the keyword tool on Google. Most terms result in position one return. We are changing some of the first page content to get the rest of the keyword search results up as well.

We have not yet (but are working on) submitted a site map to Google. We're focusing mostly on Google, but not ignoring other top level search engines.

The site has about 250 backlinks, not including directory listings.

We are listed with all of the top level directories (in some cases more than once).

The site has been around since the late 90s.

    Site PR = 6

Traffic is not really an issue, but more wouldn't hurt.

The site is a job posting site. It is almost completely dynamic (using ASP.Net and SQL Server). Some of the things I've read about SEO lead me to believe that we may be doing some things wrong though. For instance, once a posting expires it is not longer available to be viewed from the site. I have read that you don't want to remove content, but in this case?

Also, due to the timeframe of many (certainly not all) postings, some content may never get crawled (posted after a crawl and expired prior to a crawl). Many only get crawled once. Is this really an issue that we should worry about?

We are working on adding non-posting based content (articles, etc...) to the site. Currently, all of the content is a job posting. The articles will be displayed on the same actual page with a different querystring. Search engines today will see these as separate pages, right?

    Anything else I'm missing?

    Adding questions:

Given the limited lifetime of most content on the site, would it be worth it to convert the URLs from the current querystring to the SEO friendly style?

Also, our search results use ASP.Net paging. The buttons have a link like javascript:__doPostBack('SearchNav1$nextPage',''). Can the search engines get past the first page of results?
