Help with Hosting and Partners

Hi! I'm thinking on start a new blog / project. With time, this will be a big site and I'm looking for a hosting.

Searching and reading reviews of hostings I realize that many people are complaining of some famous hosting like hostgator, justhost, godaddy, 1&1...

    I think that I will choose ixwebhosting.com

Anyone have hosting there? It's a good hosting?

What hosting do you like more?

Otherwise, like I said, the new blog will be a big blog and I will need help with content.

Where can I find partners? there are forums or something?
How can I find trusted partners? I think that will be difficult because in the beggining I can't pay them. Or they will not earn an % of the earnings.

What do you think is the better way to do that?

    Thanks for your help!

I was with IXwebhosting for 4 years but left them earlier this year due to slower loading times and downtime issues. They might be better now but I just felt it was time to move on from them. Keep in mind when searching for a web host no matter what web hosting company someone's going to have something negative to say about them... even the greatest of hosting companies. Another thing to consider about IX is they use H-sphere for their control panel instead of cPanel. I prefer using cPanel...

I have been for 2 days looking for information about hosting and reviews.

I found a reseller hosting that looks good: shopaserver

But reseller hosting seem to be unreliable.

What do you think about reseller hostings?

Who knows what could happen when a problem occurs.

The best shared hosting is HostGator but it is not the cheapest. But if you use only one domain and plan to pay the hosting for a long term than a hatchling plan might not be bad either.

    Hey, thanks to everyone.

Finally I chose Hostgator for hosting and 1&1 for the domain.

With Hostgator there aren't problems but 1&1 are really slow. Took 2 days to activate my user's account and 4 days ago I changed the DNS domain and is not yet updated.

    HI!

Just an advice to you all.

Has been 13 days since I change the DNS of my 1&1 domain and it's not active yet.

I have contacted many times with support and they don't tell me what happening or when I can use my domain. They just say that are working on the issue...

    Avoid 1&1 if you can!

If you just starting in the business, I think hostgator is better. Customer support are good and they will guide you through the process.

But when you got more experience, you can start to look for more cheaper hosting, or move to VPS as your visitor growing.

Personally I'm dealing with arvixe for my wordpress site and no issues in the past few months. you can also consider it if you still not sure which one to choose.
