Help with getting more fans to facebook

Hi there, i have created a fan page on facebook, but only have 100 fans. I was thinking of doing a competition to get more fans, like invite all your friends on your list you will win xxx prize, but how to you know if they did or didnt really invite all their friends, is their a way of knowing?


or does anyone know of any great competitions that work on facebook?

but i thought it would have gone a bit better than it did. I ended up with about 100 new fans but i do want more than this.

It is a great way to let people know about things you are up to etc as everyone is always on Facebook. I just do not know how these Fan Pages have over 10k fans etc? How do they do it? I really want some more ideas on how to do it too.

Oh i got each fan to also email me as well so i could make a list of who entered the comp as they joined as a fan. It is the only way i could think of doing it.
