Help With Free Advertising

First let me say hi to all
Now let me get right to the point, i have read loads and loads of threads about free advertising and have done some methods, which did not do a lot for my sites. doe anyone know ways to get traffic i mean ways that work.
i have done articles, link partners, and submitted my site to search engines.
I have heard about using myspace and youtube and would like to know more about that way of advertising.

One more thing b4 i go what are the best money making sites to have?

Try some social networks like stumbleupon and digg.

Blogs work to but you need to submit them to blog directories. You can also try this site below. You add code to your site and it shows your ads like adsense ads.

In my experience with traffic you get what you pay for.

If you buy 10,000 clicks at $35 from a pop-under provider the traffic will be useless.

Everyone wants cheap, qualified traffic but in reality its not readily available unless you know something others dont.

Best source of FREE traffic is through organic listings so make sure you are on top of your SEO and you rank well for your keywords on the SERPS. One of my sites gets just under 2000 visits a day and 75% of the traffic comes from Google SERPS.

 

I recommend Craigslist for free traffic, the traffic from Craigslist is awesome especially if you list in cities like NYC or San Francisco. Forums are also a great source to obtain traffic for your site (my sig.)

 

Free advertising works (all of the ideas above, for instance), but it just takes time. Imagine that you're stoking a tiny fire, you're trying to get it larger and larger by constantly blowing on it and giving it more fuel... It's the same sort of thing. Just do a little bit every day, add more content every day, write more articles and get more links. Soon enough you'll have that roaring bonfire.

Also... what kind of site do you have? Some sites work better for different advertising types.

 

Some free ways to advertise that i have used include,

1. Forum Signatures
2. Forum Marketplaces (Like the one here on Digital Point)
3. Social Bookmarking Sites Like, digg.com, reddit.com, netscape.com, shoutwire.com, blinklist.com and many more.
4. Technorati.com - Use technorati to find blogs that are related to your product and post relevant comments on those blogs.

Referral link + one of the worst websites I've seen. People shouldn't use them for the pure fact that they won't spend any money on a website.
