Hey guys, I'm just in the process of launching my real estate company and I'm realizing I have some stiff competition on the SEM and SEO side. Having read through a ton of the forums here I see there are different techniques black hat vs white hat, long-term / short-term strategies.. ... ... etc. This isn't going to be an easy request but I'm looking to hire a company / consultant to own my organic search SEO details. The problem is that there are so many companies are out there and they all claim to be able to do this for a low price and high quality. I need a company that is trustworthy that can track results and actually be accountable for achieving goals. I have some Keywords in mind that I'd like them to optimize such as... list on MLS Sell on MLS flat fee MLS flat fee MLS listing etc.. But more importantly, if the company / consultant can help me really get to the next level of SEM and SEO capabilities that would be great. you are right, that is the problem as there is no such thing called low price and high quality. like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. you expect high quality work, you are expected to pay fair price for it.
Theres a lot of SEO companies and consultants - firstly always check the sites they worked on before to see what rankings they can achieve. Also many may sound really cheap - but actually correct SEO takes a lot of man hours - cheap often means short cuts - which means little effect. The bulk of SEO is link building- If you really want to rank well you need links on high ranking pages and you need those links to be natural - meaning they must be unique. high ranking links on prestigious pages in business listings / directories ect often come with high submission fees eg joe ant - business.com botw etc but are vital if you are to get anywhere, so it means if you want to really succeed especially in a competitive niche then it may require a good few thousand dollars to get listed on all the big authority sites and thats just to get the ball rolling. A true SEO consultant (such as myself) knows scores of authority places to get listed and understands that to really get noticed and to have any authority and popularity takes time and money - but still everyone turns to cheap seo services that sell like hundreds of links for $20 - which are worthless or they use worthless directory submission services where your link ends up on a worthless page with a repeat description. however another problem is many SEO companies charging big money but then still doing the cheap service ! Choosing an SEO company means working with them and having some basic knowledge of what they are doing - what your goals are - you may be paying them monthy - what did they do that month ? Can you notice your page getting listed on high ranking authority pages with unique text or are you just getting hundreds of links dumped on worthless pages with the same text ?
