    What I do is serve the background from my own server. Are you trying to load the background from ebay's server.

    If you are using ebay's interface, I can go into my store and check for you which detail to change. Let me know if you still need help.

    If you are using your own server, let me know and I'll give you the code to add to your html

    can you make the background a picture that you host somewhere else? that would be my best guess.

    Are you hosting your own images? The best tool out there in my opinion is found at... http://www.robshelp2.com/Builder/Startup.htm
    It only took me about an hour to learn how to learn it. And ive made some nice ebay listings with it,and it has loads of background images,and borders....its free too

    Yes I am hosting my own images on my server. Ebay isn't hosting anything.

    Okay so do this

    right click on the backgrounds you want and save it to your hard drive with the name you want on the file.

    IN your html that you add to your ebay auction, just add this line

    background="http://www.yourdomainname/bkgd.gif"

    upload your graphic to the relevant folder on your server

    then when you preview your ad, you will see the background

    don;t submit your ad until you preview it so you ccan fix
