    Hi guys,

I have a domain and hosting set up with GoDaddy and I simply cannot get dreamweaver to sync with the FTP File Manager. I would like to mention that all this is new to me and I am probably making a simple mistake.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

    Hello abrusnahan,

When you added your ftp info to the site manage did you use your domain name as the ftp host. And host directory blank, Put in your ftp user name and password. And you may need to check the Use Passive FTP box.

    Is that what you did?

    Instead of ftp.mydomain.com try mydomainname.com

When you're setting up your FTP connection, you can click "Test" and DW will tell you if it can/can't connect to the server.
If it does connect, you'll see a tree view of your hosting account under the Files tab (usually on the right).
I'm on a "vintage" version (Macromedia v8 :D), so it might be slightly different for newer versions.

Make sure any firewalls you have running are set to let DW through.

Okay, I got it to connect. I built a rough draft of the homepage I want. How do I get it to appear?
