Help with domain--

    Hey there,

I just registered a website using Yahoo! and it's been working relatively well. We'll call the domain xyz.com and my content is housed at riftshighway'sserver.com

It's set to masked forward, but I noticed that you can't actually type in any specific URL--they all just take you back to the main page. For example, I could type in riftshighway'sserver.com/links.htm and get the correct page, but when I type in xyz.com/links.htm it just goes to the main page.

    What's going on?

I'm not sure if this will be the right answer, but just try xyz.com/links.html

Perhaps your links page is .html and not .htm.

Thanks for the help, but the problem persists.

It doesn't matter what I type in (I can type in a nonexistant file name and as long as xyz.com is the base it just goes there :(

They aren't hosting it though, just the domain.

i don't know how yahoo manage domains. but most likely it is in the nameserver problem. be sure to change your nameservers from yahoo to your hosting account like ns1.yourhost.com, then delete other extra nameservers there. like yahoo nameservers (if any). please also note that you need atleast 2 nameserver from your host. hope this will help you. i've been experimenting with my domains too..

Try switching your domain out to NameCheap.com

    Thanks for your help everyone!

My problem was that I had a masked forward instead of resetting my name servers. They aren't the same!

    Rep out!
