Hi guys and sorry to bother you all! I have a quick design question. I have a number of graphics in JPEG format that I would like to upload to a print on demand t-shirt site Spreadshirt.net. However, the problem is that I when I do so they have a large area of white space that does not change when I alter the t-shirt colour. Is there any way I can get rid of this white space in GIMP so that the image is just the stuff I have drawn? Cheers all!
Try using a transparent PNG (or even a transparent GIF) instead of JPG. http://www.google.com.au/search?q=transparent+png+gimp
Open your Jpeg files use the magic wand tool in photoshop and remove all the white space make sure you set the background to transparent and now save the picture to TIFF or png Gif is not the best option to save since you are doing the tshit designs do vectorized them in that way even when you want to increase the size of the image the quality wont get lost If you need any help on that Contact me @ yahoo
I prefer PNG as it seems most editable. Yes though, paste the image into a new transparent image, then use the tool that selects area by color to delete the white space.
Thanks for the help guys. Have tried out all of the methods and think I've got the thing sorted now. Added rep. to you all for the kind instructions.
