So I'm pretty good with making banners, text, weblayouts, but I don't make my own vectors or images. I've tried making simple things like headphones, and stuff but they don't come out right, any tips or tutorials on how to create proper vector images (I would love to see an example of how to draw a person if possible) Thanks alot
You can start by getting a bitmap image of whatever you want to put in your vector, do a trace ( I use corel draw) and then start "playing" around with it. Also, a drawing pad might help you, if you got the talent (which I don't ). Some tutorials: http://speckyboy.com/2008/04/30/30-vector-tutorials-that-will-make-graphic-design-easier/
Cool thanks I finished my first vector: What do you guys think for a first vector? Any tips? A butler:
Use adobe illustrator for great live trace results. To become great at vectors tyou need to practice and have patients.
First of all choose the picture you want to trace. Second, never use illustrators live trace, use manual trace using pen tool. Zoom in, make some new details if necesary. Use not one, but a couple of sample images. Combine details. Combine colors. I have learned vector graphics in around two months.
