Help with cpanel

i have just installed vmware and installed centos5 onto it..

i then installed cpanel 11 "so i can test it" i have a test license..

all the installation had finished and i have set the network settings in wmware to bridged network connection and ticked replicate physical connection..

restarted the os after installation and everything starts ok "cos it says ok next to cpanel stuff and apache"

but if i go to 192.168.1.2 "which is the address of the virtual machine" it just says cannot dispay webpage.

i have tried both http:// and https:// and added the :2087 but i cannot get anything..

any help would be good.

 

Try by installing manually! Licensed software works fine with manual installations

 

how do i go about doing that??

i dont know much about linux commands or anything so any help you give would be great

 

It seems that 192.168.1.2 is your local IP. cPanel can be installed on static IP address. Try to access your cPanel using your static IP address (your ISP's IP).

Thats tough buddy. You can access the apache of the host machine from the guest machine but not the other way around. I had tried it once, but gave up.
