Help with CJ links

    Hi everybody,
I am completely new to CJ. I just started the googlecash3 course last week, and most of it is quite straightforward.
But I am stuck on one thing.
When we are supposed to extract our link from the whole html link the site gives us, and we put it in the destination url.
I do that and it looks something like this

    http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-xxxxxx-xxxxxxxx

When I paste it into the destination url, and click on the ad, it goes to an error page

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Can someone help me with this please? Is there something I am doing wrong?
I will really appreciate any help.

Well, I'm new to CJ too, but that seems to be when CJ uses link excription... Not really sure bout that. Have you tried to do that w/o link encription?

    Cheers.

    I've tried using both.
I am not using encryption, but still when I copy and paste that part of the html code into my browser's address bar, it says
    Cannot display the page
It's happening in Firefox and IE. I honestly have no idea what to do. It might seem a stupid question to a lot of advanced advertisers on this forum, but I really need help guys PLEASE.

I'm not familiar with googlecash3 but if you could paste a piece of code here maybe I could take a look at it, since I've always worked w/ raw html, maybe that would help.

just the html before and after shud do it :) plus a lil explanation of what it shud do.

Does it do that with every link you try? I occasionally get 404s on CJ links. That format is the correct one, though.

I have the same problem. You are given a code, then separately there may also be an image url and also a destination url and for javascript there is also a text hyperlink.

What are you supposed to do with all these items? Is the code supposed to be modified? If so how?
I just put in the code, as it stands, but that only leads to an error page.

I'm sure there's a simple solution, since such links are constantly used, but I would be grateful if someone can give a step-by-step instruction. Thanks.

I am new to this forum, and yesterday I posted this question in the adwords forum. Later I saw the Commission Junction forum and thought it was more relevant here. I am sorry about that, will take me a while to get familiarized with this board.
    Thanks for the responses everybody.

I also checked the thread in the other forum and found the solution.

    But just to recap:
I uninstalled Spybot, and also edited out some entries in the Hosts file.
    It's working so far!

sam1982, thanks for posting here or I would not have found the relevant topic.
