    hello
im quiet new to this forum so im not sure if this is the best place for my thread.

Im a 15/16 years old boy who wants to make websites to get some spare money.
so i have done some research and thought that making a Unlocking service would be a good idea so i started looking for a place to get my unlocking codes from but did not manage to find
something useful.(it was just a quick search because i wasnt sure if it was a good idea)
so i thought about making a game website but there would be to much competition as there is
    quite alot of game websites.
at last i decided to make a wallpaper/fb cover website using darkbrush i think its called.
i have not started anything yet.
so i thought i should ask you guys for help
so could you suggest a project suitable for a person making his first website.
if you have any other ideas please tell me does not have to be one of the above.

    Thanx In Advance

You will find it helps tremendously to not make this "work". Meaning, you should do deal with something that interests you. Gaming site for instance. (just a guess).

If you are getting your SEO info from here it may be lol.. At the end of the day it requires a bit of a plan to move forward and put asses in seats. I am happy to help there as well.

My point is largely that it should not feel like work all the time when you are working on it etc. No reason it can't be fun.

What, for instance, are you 5 most favorite things. You can also break that up a bit. I am huge rpg fan for instance but also a huge fan of free speech, net neutrality and so on. They are entirely different subjects but I am very interested in both.

    Nigel...

    Hi from Eddie P!

It's great you're getting started so young in life with making $ online.

I think one of the easiest ways to start would be set up a blog about games or wallpaper, etc. Share you knowledge and also visit other gaming blogs and contribute. Eventually you'll be able to share a link back to your website.

You also need to set up some type of affiliate links, etc. on your site, or develop a game and sell it.

    Good luck!

It has to be fun or you'll lose interest and lose the value of the work that you have done.

If the idea of creating a game sounds fun and isn't instantly overwhelming then do that.
If you have artistic skills that would mean you can create great wall papers then do that.

Pretty much whatever you do there will be someone else doing it and doing it well so you have to
    • put your own twist on the subject
    • love doing it
    • relax!
Remember too, that what you consider spare money may well be a good income to someone else and they may be prepared to work longer and harder to earn that income than you can or want to. Make sure you are putting your special talents to their best use.

(said while I can hear my 14yo planning his youtube channel in the background)

Use your passion and make a website for this.

If you like to ride a bike, write about this. To make money, sell parts from amazon, ebay etc.
If you like to make tutorials about hardware tips, software tips, and more write about this. You can make reviews for apps that offer you possibility to get a commissions from sales - see for example tweetadder.com/idevaffiliate/‎
You like the see movies? Write about this and sell movies via amazon or ebay.

    Hi, man!
    Congrats!
One thing that makes a good site is the idea in the core. If you are not sure which way will lead you to success, it's best not to mess around, and concentrate on one thing which you do good and which is interesting for you. Study your competitors well --and think out something (feature, service, comfort of use) they don't have. Don't be afraid of competitors. They are very good teachers in business. If you want to do some listing, study the ones that exist, if it's a gamesite, it should have something new and unusual to distinguish from thousands other projects.

Search google and check your competition i think the age of unlocking phones with codes is over almost over alot of new phones require software to unlock phones before you waste time on your site you must look at your competition and how phones are unlocked nowadays thanks

good industry to start these days is social gaming industry -- I'm still shocked of lots of friends storming castles, building grifins, watering lettuce, etc. People spend lots of time and money in this stuff. Despite competition it's still a very good market, if you have fantasy to make something unusual

whats the most important step? Well choose your topic or niche that you want to be in but be careful you really have to be good at it. If your not good then learn more first and think about what your really passinate about and then choose your domain wisely and setup your website or blog. Ready to start now.

Be aware that it won't be quick cash: online earning is long past the time when it was easy to make money, so you're looking at several months before you earn anything noticeable (unless you're lucky).

First question that popped into my head: why would someone buy the code from you instead of from the person you're buying from? It'd be cheaper to go to the source and if you can find it, they can.

Both of those are massively over-subscribed.

Everyone has already said to choose a subject you love. Unfortunately, there will already be a million websites for those subjects, unless you are very, very different to every other adolescent male.

So, in my opinion, you have a few choices:

    a. Do what you love, but don't do it for the money. There's a very high chance you'll get bored or be disappointed regardless of what you do (no offense, it's perfectly normal, especially for folks your age), so picking something you absolutely love will make continuing easier. And the longer you continue, the better the chance of earning.

    b. Do something dead easy, like working for other people instead of building your own stuff. Tasking sites, a bit of freelancing, whatever. It's good because you can pick it up and drop it whenever you like, the earnings are pre-defined (rather than vague "you might get a few cents off an ad today" stuff) and you're in the ideal demographic.

    c. Build something for yourself and do it purely for the money. Much harder, as it will require long-term determination, a lot of research and a lot of work (online earning always does). Steer away from anything involving content creation or authority sites - your written English is nowhere near good enough to get the kind of rankings you want, and I assume you don't want to pay others to do it.

    d. Go video. One of my nephews has a YouTube vlog where he talks about LoL, showing strategies, tips and other stuff. He does VERY well off AdSense through it (he had a $1,000 month a while back). You'll need a parent to do the AdSense signup, at a guess. If you pick a popular game or niche and have a good personality, this may be the ideal approach.

    Hope it helps.

Good to see you have the initiative to start something. I commend you
With websites always focus on writing about something that you are interested in because after a while you will get super bored with it if you don't enjoy it.
Additionally for a starters, don't focus on seo but instead on Great quality content and talking to communities that are in the same topic as your website. Probably your best option to begin with would be to build a facebook page and get people interested in what you have to say and once you have a following build a website where you can have ads, and sell relevant products to you niche.
    So step by step:
    1. what is your goal? how much money do you want to make online?
    2. Create a facebook page where you build a database of people interested in your topic
    3. once you get a substantial number you can build a website where you can direct the people to
    4. Monetize it by putting ads on it and or selling topic relevant products

It will take time but if you continue you could have a business which allows you to test out games and get paid for it for life
Good luck and great work on taking the first steps :)
