Help with Buying a PR7 Text Link on eBay.

I saw this on ebay, somebody is selling a PR7 link for 5.99 for 1 month, the site has plenty of backlinsk and I checked and looks like it is a PR7 however this site is not even 1 month old and the link is very cheap for a PR7, for some reason it does not sound right!!

Please help determine if I should by this link or not, I wanted to buy the link to increase my PR and get better SE ranking.

    This is the ebay listing:

When I check the site's backlinks none of the sites that supposedly point to it have any links to it. But they all include links to government VA Loan sites, particularly homeloans.va.gov. Also, the site hasn't passed any PR to it's own interior pages. Very interesting.

This is a fraud. It's the popular trick for scamming PR. Doing a 301 redirect in your .htaccess file to a popular site (in this case, homeloans.va.gov)
This technique has been used by various scammers to even get a PR10. But it doesn't help really
Basically, this technique fools the googlebot into thinking that ffaloan.com is homeloans.va.gov (which has a PR 7) and thus assigns a PR7 to this domain. It'll probably go away in the next PR update.
Don't buy it, because ffaloan.com does not have a PR7 and cannot "pass on" PR to you. That's why the interior pages have no PR.
PR7 links don't come cheap. So, when you see a 5.99 dollar PR7 link, you can rest assured that its a fraud.

Do a Google search for http://www.ffaloan.com and click on the Show Google's Cache of this site link. You'll be taken to homeloans.va.gov
    This proves what I'm saying.

April 4th update inflated pr for new sites. Some sites actually got a 7, many a 6, and a vast amount of 5's, with no backlinks.

However, that site has 427 backlinks from google.
    http://www.google.com/search?source...005-09,GGGL:en&q=link:http://www.ffaloan.com/

But it has terrible traffic stats on Alexa
    http://alexa.com/data/details/main?q=&url=www.ffaloan.com/

But as the posters above mentioned, it is a scam. The links shown on google are the ones for
homeloans.va.gov. How can sites get away with this?
