    Hi

I'm new to web sites etc... and have started my own and I'm looking for help getting links to my site. I have been getting great help from this forum as you guys are very patient and helpfull but I'm looking for some more basic advice.

In one topic I asked about linking and was told about hubs and blogs. I have set up a blog and posted 3 hubs on hubpages with links to my site. How do I go about getting traffic to my blog and hubs? it looks like a catch 22 to me any advice?

I'm not sure if my comment is going to help you here - but with 23 posts already in this forum, I think you've been doing exactly what you're asking for - posting in forums and blog comments create backlinks for you. Aagain, this forum is about link building and webmaster tips, so I don't know how you managed so far and not come across all those useful posts on the same topic.

That said, here's almost similar post with relevant answers http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1606746

    Good luck

Thanks for the answer. I know I have a few posts now and I have on other sites with relation to my topic of songwriting and guitar. But all the help here takls about social bookmarking, and blogs, hubs etc...

Firstly I just don't get social bookmarking maybe it will come after some more time.

Secondly is there something I am doing wrong with my blogging and hubbing. I have decided to keep my blog up to date on my site http://www.guitarandsong.com/blog.htm and I enjoy the hubs I do but again I find myself going round in circles and don't want to keep on commenting on forums and blogs just to try and increase traffic to my site. But how am I supposed to get traffic to my site if I cant get it to my blog or hubs.

Do I need to do multple blogs? I find that that it might be a bit repetative.

How long should it take to see a decent amount of daily hits on my site. At present I'm only getting 5 to 10 hits a day.

Here is your friendly tip for the day from me. :)

    http://www.socialmarker.com/

Bookmark it. Use it every day. You should be using Social Bookmarks, they are an amazing tool, just so long as you dont spam them. I'm not kidding when I say that you will be pleasently suprised with how much traffic they will generate

First and foremost, this part will take a while. Go and register at all of those sites (some are down atm), then on the main page of Social Marker, just enter your details in the right place. Remember to use effective keywords, place your main keywords in the title, use them in the description as well, and add your keywords in the tags. Then submit, and it will guide you through submitting to each bookmarking service.

Its pretty simple. Just by adding your links to social bookmarking, your putting your hands up and yelling "hello world!", people see the link, it looks good, they visit, then you can do what you want with them from there. Just as long as you submit your links, links that people want to see, and go from there.

You can post links with 50+ words of promotion text plus images and videos on Xomba (see my signature link). Post one for each of your Hubs and urls on your blog. You can also write articles and include you links in them to publish there. I find I make much more money from Xomba than hubs. (You can publish your hubs on Xomba too). I've also started to post on Snipsly.com and have seen some results even though it is relatively new.

I take it you mean sign up for all the sites listed on the right of the main page?

Do I need to add articles, post etc onto all of these sites also or just register?

Sorry for my ignorance but what does atm mean?
