Help With Blog Post Titles

I have a number of blogs that I am doing a couple of posts a week that are a collection of links from around the internet. For example, funny stories of the day or funny stories of the week.

Instead of having funny-stories-week1 or funny-stories-week2 what would be a better way to titles these? I was thinking of adding the date but at that I am not sure what format to use.

    Suggestions?

I would suggest to have the date when you published those stories - so your visitors can have a better idea on the dates of those stories.

    You could do something like this;

    funny-stories-26-01-14

Your titles will also depend on the topics of your stories and content.

Just remember to keep it simple and to not overthink it!

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers!

I would so something like this. Have a relevant title and include the date in an ordered manner. I would also aim to capitalize most of the words to make the title stand out that little more. Experiment with it and see what works best with your readers.

What about trying this idea. Create a theme for each post, such as funny sports blooper moments or crazy pet antics. And, then title the post appropriately. So for instance, with the funny sports stories, you could title the post as 'Funny sports fails'. And, for funny pet videos or stories, you could try, 'Best LOL animal moments'. You could tweak your blog title so that it includes the words, 'funny stories' or something similar to describe what your blog is about, rather than putting those words in each post title. You will get plenty of ideas for potential blog post titles from other funny story blogs or from Youtube video titles, which have a funny theme.

Have you considered browsing amazon in your niche? I pick up heaps of cool ideas, keywords and titles on there. Read through the comments & reviews. Lots of golden nuggets in there!

It will be better if you use date such as 01 February '14 or funny stories of the day- 01 February '14. You can visit relevant site & see how they arrange their site. (Your random funny story, Funny short Story, The funniest Stories etc.)

    For Title:
    Funny Stories: February 7, 2014
    (or)
Funny Stories of the Day: February 7, 2014

    For URL:
    /funny-stories-02-07-2014
    /funny-stories-of-the-day-02-07-2014

how about combined it with at least 3 words summary of the blog post.

like example if you have below article.

"funny stories of the day, the dog jump to pool while boy swimming blah blah.."

you title would be : Funny stories of the day : Dog and Boy Swimming

your URL would be : funny-stories-of-the-day-dog-and-boy-swimming
