    Hello everybody,
I would like to try to market my website with blog and articles but run into problem selecting subject. I sell stained glass (www.stainedglassmall.com) which is a form of art. I was looking online and all I can find is blogs about how to make it. Sort of artist to artist blog instead of retailer to consumer. Any help how to choose subjects?
    Thank you

I actually run an article directory. One thing I see commonly is people writing about how you could brighten up a home with different elements. You could try something similar.

    Here is an example...

You could write about the different kinds of stained glass, the various ways to make it, the different types of quality, making stained glass for a living, making stained glass as a hobby, the materials that are used in making stained glass, the origins of stained glass, the evolution of stained glass...

If you are selling something useful why dont you first make the awareness of the product with your article or blog, then you may try classifieds on regular basis, it can give you traffics.

I have a bit of a different approach: Why not expand your blog niche from stained glass to something like home decor/ or arts and crafts? You can set up an Etsy shop and link to it from your blog. This will give you more to write about and open doors for you with other types of advertising and things to write about. Niche blogs can be good but with as narrow a niche as you have right now people won't see much reason to come back after a few visits. When you widen the niche a little you keep things interesting for yourself and give visitors reasons to keep reading you. :)

I've helped people set up businesses like this before so if you would like some assistance please PM me and we'll work something out :)

I would like to share www.hotmake.info your category is there and hundreds more so you can write you article anyway you like.

I would also suggest you make how to articles like.

How to make a ash tray out of stained glass.
how to make a table out of stained glass.

and so on you will probably never run out of ideas and just submit them to hotmake

I think i know why you want to do more b-b advertising and personally i would not bother if another blogger want to write something like this they will use the search methods that your clients would and see what other people are doing so just direct it to clients and bloggers will find it.

These are some really great suggestions and I have one that can help you passively continue research while you are poking around and working on the suggesitons of others.
My two cents for passively researching your market is to set up one or more Google alerts. Set up an alert for all of your keywords or subjects of interest. Anytime anyone makes a blog post about the subject of interest and Google indexes it, you will get an email as it happens or weekly. All you need is a gmail account.
Discover how to set up the alert tool at google.com/alerts

Yeah, play around with keyword and adsword. Write articles and continue networking. There are many good free classified ads like Craglists and etc. also for you to promote yourself. Its easy to get traffic but you have to try different strategies on getting the potential customers. Good luck!
