So I've created my own website, the Yankees Chronicle. It's not up yet, but the basic set-up is there. You can visit it here, but realize it is vastly incomplete: http://www.yankeeschronicle.com The goal of the website is to be the Drudge Report except covering the New York Yankees. I realize this site won't contain many pages, an almost must for AdSense to be best utilized. However, it is unique in that this is a type of Yankees website not currently found on the web. Regardless, I hope you see what the goal of my site is and now I'll get into the questions. I've read a lot of threads and guides about AdSense and websites before posting this thread. There are some things I still don't understand. One of them is keywords. I've heard that using the right keywords not only will get you traffic but some keywords pay you more $$$. First, I don't understand what keywords I could use for my site to get traffic. Second, how do I differentiate the low and high paying keywords? My second question is best utilizing AdSense on my site. I've heard placing an Adsense banner at the top and on the sidebar are good, but "it all depends on the website." Looking at the format on my site, where honestly do you think I could best utilize advertisements? I apologize if these have been asked before and I honestly tried doing a search before I posted this so please take it easy if you criticize. Thank you for your help.

Instead of giving you a single line reply, I'm going to give you some ideas and encouragements. New York Yankees have many fans who would love to be updated with news about NYK and nonsensical to say that you would not be able to build many webpages but it is very difficult to compete with YankeesChronicle.com The top relevant keywords are as follows: new york yankees new york yankees history new york yankees logo new york yankees symbol new york yankees baseball new york yankees trade rumors new york yankees screensavers what does the new york yankees symbol look like new york yankees schedule new york yankees merchandise new york yankees manager new york yankees win world series new york yankees logos new york yankees sports history how many world series have the new york yankees won new york yankees payroll new york yankees songs new york yankees tickets new york yankees stadium new york yankees screensaver new york yankees themes new york yankees wallpaper new york yankees hat new york yankees fdny cap new york yankees desktop themes new york yankees home page new york yankees stadium memorabilia new york yankees diaper bag new york yankees players new york yankees roster new york yankees spring training schedule who founded the new york yankees freeware screensaver new york yankees history of the new york yankees how did the new york yankees get their name new york yankees backgrounds new york yankees citibank sponsor ring new york yankees computer wallpaper new york yankees fabric new york yankees mascot new york yankees radio the new york yankees 2006 new york yankees trade rumors address for new york yankees boston red sox vs. new york yankees new york yankees apparel new york yankees baseball schedule new york yankees bedding new york yankees highlights new york yankees new field who is new york yankees coach new york yankees facts new york yankees new era hat new york yankees team new york yankees thermos new york yankees world series uniform patches youth new york yankees nick swisher jerseys youth new york yankees nick swisser jerseys 100 years of the new york yankees disk 1 torrent babe ruth new york yankees billy martin new york yankees new york yankees baby bedding new york yankees baseball skull picture new york yankees baseball team new york yankees boys bathing suit new york yankees boys sandals new york yankees desktop wallpaper new york yankees game tickets new york yankees high resolutions wallpaper new york yankees italian new york yankees magazine new york yankees new stadium new york yankees northwest ncaa new york yankees official website new york yankees salaries new york yankees shirts new york yankees spring training new york yankees the final season new york yankees theme new york yankees tie clip new york yankees women's underwear nick swisher youth new york yankees jersey reebok new york yankees shirt tattoo new york yankees who owns the new york yankees 1972 new york yankees 1975 new york yankees 1977 new york yankees 1995 new york yankees boston red sox vs new york yankees gifts cheap new york yankees tickets happy birthday new york yankees hate the new york yankees lee sigman new york yankees new era yo-city pop up new york yankees new york black yankees new york yankees 100 baseball cards new york yankees and 2009 and schedule and printable new york yankees baseball logo new york yankees black satin commemorative jacket Talking about low and high paying keywords, I'm not sure but I guess the high paying clicks will be for seasonal tickets. Many low paying clicks will be for gifts, caps, jerseys, etc. I suggest you develop it with passion. Good contents will attract the SEs and visitors = more money from adsense program. If you want any help, please see the WHOIS records of my domains and contact me.
Excellent help from both posters, thank you so much. To the poster ainmohd, your keywords are great, but where do I apply these keywords? Do I put them in the <meta> part of my website, or is there a special search engine submission thing I have to do with those included keywords? Thank you for your help.
Yankees Chronicle, You start with the top 10 keywords (see the list in my previous post) and write one quality article for each. If you lack of ideas, you can use Article Ideas Software to extract tons of info from the Internet. I can't give the url here but I'm sure you will get the link if you study this page closely. After you have published your webpages with quality articles, then what? Submit the articles to the Article Directories? Go ahead if you want to follow the big crowd and to eat crumbs. If you want to be different (a much, much better), prepare videos of your articles and submit to video sites. The SEs will index them faster and you get better serp because SEs can not compare videos and there will be no duplicate content issue. If article videos are new to you, please have a look at http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=article+videos&fp=FqKnkuCRnN0 Why you should be believe me? Google "ainuddin mohamad" (my full name) and "ainmohd" and spend a couple of years visiting my links (10k+). Google "metacafe ainmohd" if you want to see my videos.
ainmohd, great advice, but I don't think you answered my question about where to actually put the keywords. Writing articles is good, but where do I put the keywords? Do I put them in the <meta> part in the html of my site? I don't understand...
Yankees Chronicle, If I were to explain to you in details about keywords, I will have to take about half the size of http://forums.digitalpoint.com and the moderators will kick me out. I suggest you search for relevant free ebooks on http://www.scribd.com/ (60 million readers Millions of documents 35 billion words), read the basics then post more advanced questions here to attract the attention of senior members of this forum. aceofadsense, I'm not trying to compete with you but let us share our knowledge and experiences.
