Help with Associate-O-Matic

I have just setup my 2nd Amazon AOM site but having serious problems with it! I've uploaded all the AOM files but getting the error "error wrong unlock key".

AOM support say this means I haven't set the right permissions (ie read/write) to my aom file but when I check through my FTP software all the boxes are ticked as they should be. Has anyone else encounted this problem who can offer advice on how to fix it?

On a better note, I've now finished my first Amazon Store www.gameandfilm.com - The AOM software is pretty good considering I'm only using the trial version at present.....

try reuploading and set 777 to aom.php and aom folder and test it

for your first one you can try to sync the header and the AOM stuff so they are either the same fixed width or both with dynamic width

Pixads, thanks for replying. I tried reuploading and ensuring the permissions were correct but still getting the same error message unfortunately. The site's hosted on Windows as opposed Linux, am I right in saying I can't apply the 777 permissions if it's Windows but rather need to check the read/write permisions?

I've checked the permissions through my FTP Client (FileZilla) and all the read/write boxes are ticked (though there is a field with xxx at the bottom that I don't understand - I tried typing 777 in there but it said it was an invalid value)

My first store was setup and hosted for me. I've e-mailed the chap that did it for me but he hasn't replied. I've also tried the AOM forum but for some bizarre reason you have to wait until an administrator grants you access! I might be doing something wrong but I can't for the life of me think what.......

Not true... I have tried associate-o-matic on windows servers and runs fine. You need to set the permissions correctly. I have dedicated servers so have full access to this however if you only have access to a control panel such as plesk I can't speak from experience other than I don't see why it should be any different. Try setting full access to the IUSR account for the directory your store is in and see if it makes any difference. From memory I'm not sure if plesk allows control of the IUSR account?

154.84 KB (158557 bytes) for the header image file is too large, imho. I believe that store sites should load fast.

I have a bunch of stores but they are all hosted on lynix, what FTP program are you using? if you use the FTP that is built into windos you need to click all of the read write boxes.... "ALL" of them to set the folders and files to 777. If you do that it should work, is the game store the 2nd one you set up? if not post the link to the one that is giving the error message?

also did you copy over the saved config file from the other store? if so you need to set that to 777 as well.
