Hy. I want an eCommerce website for selling auto parts (pieces). My question is how can i do this: considering a product such as 17'' car wheel; considering this wheel beeing produced by few companies. So, in my details shop page about 17'' wheel , i want to have the option "buy it from company 1" (with a price added to it), "buy it from company 2" etc. Can anyone help me? A name for a eCommerce or plugin for an eCommerce platform. Thank you

Well the product you wish to sell could be a 'category' and manufacturers could be used as 'Products'

Try out with OSCommerce. It is widely used for eCommerce.

I always use Prestashop for ecommerce sites. It's easy to use and customize.
If you want to hire us we can do it for you.
Check the last ecommerce site we've made : http://www.swordscorner.com/

You may want to check iscripts.com which offers an open source software that allows entrepreneurs to create a fully branded online store builder. Their customers can create full fledged ecommerce ready stores in minutes.

    Hope this helps

Alinask, have you chosen the solution? I would agree with pubdomainshost.com, you could play with categories/products/manufacturers. Thus most shopping carts should work for you unless you have some specific requirements.

    I catch your idea.

You can use "Product options" feature of shopping cart.

The product will be [17'' car wheel] with several options, and these options will be the names of companies.

All in one product page just like you need.

seem like you are trying to create "google shopping" indeed.
or if you want to become drop-shipping kind of thing.
why not treat each item as a unique product, as long they are from different vendor, they are treated seperatedly as another unique item. that will solve the problem

Hope everything goes well with OsCommerce. It is a widely used shopping cart system that is very flexible. You can make use of the products/options/categories features it has.
