What are some good ways to advertise a poker site (not where u play poker, a poker news/tip/etc site), other then adwords (preferably without a credit card).
Forums, easily the best place. Talk with your fellow players in the forums and place a link to your website. I get some niiicceee traffic from DP.
This sounds like a real cliche but you can do it the same way you market any other site How about writing a short ebook and give it away for free on your website. Give it a killer catchy name like "10 Killer Poker Tips to Squash the COmpetition" or maybe get a little more targetted and call it "How to Bluff Your Way to Winning : The ultimate Poker Bluff Guide". Once you have this set up approach other sites in your niche, email them a copy of th ebook and mention if they like it you would appreciate it if they link to your site and promote you. Good Luck
Porn forums....lots of guys play poker, just dont spam the forum, post content with a sig link and you should get a few hits.....poker beer and babes, nothin better...haha I have a porn forum you can ad a sig link to, but you just have to post content like pics and vids....
