Help with adsense numbers

I'm quite new to adsense and have gone though the TOS. Does the below mean that if I really want to max out the ads on one page, I can have 3 ad units, 2 search boxes AND 1 link unit?

A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page.
A single link unit may be placed on each Web site page, in addition to the ad units and search boxes specified above. Link units are considered to be 'Google ads' for purposes of these program policies.

This is only for rules, for example, do not click on your own ads, etc.

 

yes exactly . there are also many other rules in the TOS . You need to abide by each one of them.

 

some people have speculated that including all possible ad + link units on your page can bring your eCPM down. 1 leaderboard brings in a double figure sum for me every day, so maybe the speculation is true.

newbie question: does low eCPM hurt? isn't it just a way for publisher to see how porfitable their page is.
Anyway, i believe impression is by page, not by Ads. If you have 3 Ad unit in one page, you still get one impression per visit. Am I wrong?
