    Hi,
I'm looking to start working on a domain name I have siteticket(dot)net, but I have a problem with the servers. When I added it to my hostgator account and changed the name servers. I started to get the message
Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to siteticket.net
    Suggestions:
    Try reloading: siteticket.net
    Search on Google:
    Code (markup):
This message continued for about 4 hrs. Then I decided to park my domain to set the name servers back to the ones godaddy provided. This didn't fix anything. So I decided to look at my domain name on my iphone running 3G and it popped up fine with the classic godaddy parked domain page.
I also tried typing the domain name on firefox and IE and they both didn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Nick

Sounds like a problem with your ISP's dns servers if you're able to access it on your phone and I'm also able to access the domain and now see the godaddy start page.

I suggest you change them back to hostgator and either wait it out or use another dns provider such as opendns. http://www.opendns.com/

So do you think its just a problem with my internet provider and not my servers?

Well it's hard to say definitively, but yes, it's what I suspect. Try pointing the domain back to HostGator's nameservers. I'll let you know if I can access the site.

Did you try flushing local dns cache?

If you're running windows open command prompt then type: ipconfig /flushdns

Flushed the dns cache but it did nothing :(

I pointed the nameservers back to my hostgator server. There's nothing on the site right now because I can't work on it!
Any more help would be greatly appreciated.

    Fixed it!

I did some looking around and found a program that restores original host files and that seemed to do the trick.
    Thanks for the help!
