Hello, I want to start going after the keyword "video script". I also started submitting my site to directories. Right I now use this for my link title. TopMediaScript - Video Hosting Script | AJAX | Multi Language | Multi Template Code (markup): I am thinking of using just using "Video Script" for the link title would be a great way to start. Odds are not a lot of people are going to click on a link called Video Script. So is it worth sacrificing traffic from directories to get google's search traffic?
Hmm...You could always compensate by making a good meta description that would make people want to click through...?
You should try to include the main keyword towards the beginning of your title. Something like, "Video Script for Online Video Hosting & Sharing by TopMediaScript" All those Ajax, Multilingual and other features should go into your description meta tag. -Neo
I agree with Naughty Neo, it is my belief that you should always place your primary keyword as close to the beginning of your page title as possible.
Never heard of people getting much actual traffic from MOST directories (besides the top 5). Directories are for getting links and varying anchor text and keywords.
That's what I was thinking. But Neo's suggestion is suggestion lets me go for the keyword and still look like people would not want to click on it
Catchy text with keyword inside is the answer. Take a look what your competitors do and what is working for them. Then try to make it, but better or a bit different, but same quality.
