help with a rss widget

hi, i dont know very well about rss. i know that is a way to inform your visitors when something is new in your website.

i want to place a rss widget, like a square on my website, and i will write there when a new game, java app or something is added on my website.

anyone know about how to?? or a software to do it?? or there are another alternatives?? please help!!

 

My first question is do you want to manually update the feed (by writing it yourself each time you update the site) or do you want to have it done automatically (this will require a server-side programming language and a database to pull the content from)?
