i have submitted my blog to a few direcotires (around 50) and 5-10 listed it aswell...moreover i have been link to my blog in my signature here in dp since some time...still google shows that i donot have a backlink... i donot know why..can anone explain that to me? you can find link to my blog in my signature thx
Google doesn't show backlinks. Use Yahoo or Google Webmaster Tools. Google only shows a fraction of backlinks - and also, free directory links generally aren't considered a quality link.
You said the backlink watch showed what your back links were, so thats the problem? Google won't show the backlinks you have.

Well, the link you showed is different from the site links in goolge webmaster tool. You just check your links thru manual checking by typing it to the search box. In that case, big G won't really show all your links, all you can do is to wait until it show some of your backlinks.
