    Hey guys,

I am a newbie, I hadn old permalink (using wordpress) and I changed it a few weeks ago. My question is, whenever a user type : change page wordpress and they go to "videos" tab, they find my site. But when they click it, they won't found the post, because Google doesn't update it.
    My Question is:
    1. Will google update my permalinks?

    Thanks a bunch in advance!

You should do 301 redirect for page by page since the site permalinks strucutre has been changed completely. Otherwise you may wait until Google defined those pages as 404 Not Found and beginning re-index your whole website again. However, it could harm your ranking because those 404 pages would make your website degraded in Google perspective, plus it could take a much longer time than 3 months before Google could acknowledge your new urls and begin with the re-index process.

The easiest way to do 301 redirect is to get it done via .htaccess

    redirect 301 /category-name/old-page-name http://www.domain.com/category-name/new-page-name

    Code (markup):
Do this for each and every old pages on your site to get them being indexed and acknowledged by Google much faster.

and do this one by one for each of your post? Just use 301 404 plugin. The only downside is it redirect to page. I wish there is something like that and redirect straight to homepage or something.
