Well im transferring from yahoo to godaddy, everything webt fine, i entered transaction and security codes and now it asks:
"Please enter the authorization code for each domain (provided by your current registrar)."

Where do i get that code? Yahoo did not provide me with anything...

It has been reported that moving out of Yahoo Domains can be nightmarish but you should find some helpful tips at
    http://w2.syronex.com/jmr/blog/2005/10/yahoo_domain_registration

You basically need to contact Yahoo for the Registeration Key which you then need to get to Melbourne IT to get your Auth Code. Each are known to push the onus to the other party so be prepared to call them and email them until you get what you need.

    Good luck.

Well went fine, now saying "Pending Current Registrar Approval "
How long it will take? Can i cancel my yahoo acc already? Because otherwise they would probably charge my CC for renewal, despite the fact that i already paid to godaddy lol, i hear they do that..

Cool! You can cancel your yahoo account but it would be best to wait a few days for the domain name transfer to be completed.

Yeah but today was the last day and april 24 is the day when they supposed to renew my domain... So im afraid for them not to double charge me. I heard they did something like that before. So i would love to cancel my account right now, just want to make sure nothing will happen to my domain as it is "Pending Current Registrar Approval "

Wow, this is really cutting very close. Usually you need to provide at least 30 days allowance before the domain name expires for a transfer to go through. I am actually surprised that GoDaddy actually allows you to transfer the domain name to them.

If the domain name expires before the transfer is completed, you may stand a chance of losing it.

Any fees paid for a domain name transfer will add an extra 12 months to the next renewal date.

You could take the risk and cancel the yahoo account.

Ah. That is definitely a strange policy. At the other domain registrars, they only renew a domain (if you use auto-renewal) is at the last day of the term. If your domain name expires in May 2009, others registrars would not touch your credit card until May 2009.

    Yeah thats yahoo :)
So what is this that yahoo must approve the transfer? Could they approve transfer if i cancel acc with them? I guess they can, just not sure and dont want my domain to be left somewhere "in the air" between godaddy and yahoo lol ( This is my first transfer ever )

I really don't know about Yahoo. With other registrars, I believe you need to keep the accounts open or else if anything goes wrong with the transfer, it goes in limbo.

    Call Yahoo and ask them.

Great you cancelled the account because Yahoo tends to charge you the renewal even if your domain has been transferred away
