HELP! Web Hosting Marketing!

My company Xangular is a reliable company that has a great interactive website that has fairly good web hosting prices. The problem is that we are upgrading servers soon and need some more clients and all of our clients we have got so far have been word of mouth. Can anyone suggest advertising techniques for web hosting.

We are just currently starting to work on SEO so that isnt an option right now.

We cant really win over DP because everyone on DP wants this unlimited crap from these companies that will go out of business in a couple of months..

Any suggestions?

 

The biggest issue now is reliability, and I'm sure that's what the majority of DP members are most concerned about. If you can guarantee 99.9% uptime you'll attract a whole lot more clients.

The best method of advertising I can think of is PPC advertising, but don't touch AdWords. You'll be expected to pay anywhere between $6-$11 per click if you want to be at the top of the sponsored results. Give AdBrite and/or AdEngage a go. You can buy some fairly cheap clicks there.

 

Run an affiliate program? Run an affiliate contest? It depends on your budget what would be best. If you have alot to spend, running an affiliate program on say CJ or something could pay off.

Other than that, I would suggest specializing. Make speciality packages for popular OS apps. Like "Wordpress Hosting" or "Zen Cart Hosting", etc..

Of course, you may need to configure your servers to work nicely with the different scripts. Offer free installation.

You could then mabye even get linked from the script makers site.

 

If you're going to go for promotion, why not start a referral contests to your customers that you have right now? Prizes can vary from free hosting, domains to website designs

 

why don't u give free hosting for 1 week and so that we will come to know and u will get good clients also

 

An Affiliate program would be a good idea as previously suggests, I wouldn't suggest Adwords as you can pay like $10+ per click for hosting related words. You can still advertise on DP just show us some of the reviews from your clients and if you prove your affordable, reliable and reputable then people will buy from you. I don't offer unlimited hosting but I've managed to get a lot of clients from DP and good clients they are

 

Start a thread for .01 cent hosting for the first month. I don't think many people will want to move everything to your server for one month just to leave it againand rip you off the money for a month. If they dont like it they will move, but if you do a good job, you can have them pay for the year or 6 months or whatever..
