Why would I want someone's advertising on the back of my business card? I want to look professional, not like a cheap billboard for someone else. Sorry, but unless I misunderstood you, that is my opinion. Bad idea....but I'm sure you'll get cheap, unprofeesional people to order them. In fact, with that thought in mind, DP is probably a good place to market them! Jim
I am not trying to get you to put ads on the back of your cards. I already have a long list of people that WANT ads on their cards in exchange for getting them free. The reason I posted this in this forum is because I need affiliates to promote the ADVERTISING side of the business. I need affiliate marketers to help me sell the ads for the backs of the cards.
Yes, I understand. I guess I just would not want to have anything to do with someone who conducts business with business cards that have other people's advertising on them....just so they could get their business cards for free. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL...and, it says a lot about people who would use these business cards....Once again, only my opinion, but I tend to be more professional in my business dealings, because professionalism pays much more in the long run. To each his own....but I still chuckle about you venture. Sometimes "free" is the worst thing you can take advantage of in building a "serious" business...and, to show I am not just faulting those who would partake of your service, nothing turns me off more from doing business with another as when their business card has a VistaPrint advertisment on the back. Oh, sorry. If you had told me, I would have clicked that URL to give my opinion. But let me ask you this, since the majority of the opinions you have received...on this thread and the other...say it is not a good idea, why do you keep trying to develop it? I know others have been ridiculed for their ideas in the past and have gone on to be multi-millionaires, but this is a really lame idea. Once again, I am not trying to slam you, but listen to what you are trying to promote.....individuals buying their business cards with advertising from others on the back. I have no illusions. You will get some customers for your "billboard business cards". You will also get some affiliates from DP. Some members here would join an affiliate program if they could make a buck selling their mother, but the "concept" will not make it in the long run. Or, are you like so many others here on DP who just wants to turn a quick buck? It seems you are from what I have read in this thread and the other one you mentioned. But, to each his own. Jim
