is it against the adsense TOS to put text somewhere on my site that says, "to support us, please check out our sponsors on the top of the page!"?
Is it against TOS to say that all revenue from the website is donated to a charity? Or how about something like "Revenue from sponsers is donated to ABC Charity?" I'll email google before I would do such a thing. I'm just wondering what y'll think.
AdWords advertisers (the ads you see in your google ads) are not your sponsors! Neither do they care about your ABC Charity. Their ads appear on your site at their expense and you asking for G ad clicks is stealing their money and is the most serious TOS violation
I didn't say "ask" for clicks. I wouldn't want to encourage clicks but only to inform visitors that all revenue from the site, whether from AdSense, Amazon, Direct Sales, whatever... is donated to charity. I wouldn't specifically say revenue from the text ads go to charity but, all revenue from the website. Is that wrong?
The point is you can't categorize AdSense (or any other PPC programs) as your Sponsor. If you are not clear in your call for action, Google will come after you and if you are a small fish (bring little profits to Google), they'll simply ban you (what do they have to lose?) If you really want to mention the ABC charity, I suggest you at least replace the word Sponsors with Affiliates or better yet list specifically which sites you want your users to visit to support ABC charity.
