Help us improve our conversion - Win $150

    Hey all. What Netflix has done recently (offering a million dollars to improve their recommendations engine) has spurred me to do the same thing for our site. We can't give away a million dollars at this point but we are giving away $150 to the person who can help us the most with improving our site's conversion ratio (the number of people who visit to the number of people who buy products).

    Here is a brief summary of who we are:

    Site: www.learnoutloud.com
    Stats: appox. 100k monthly visitors, Google PR of 7, Alexa rank of 30k
    Product: We sell spoken word audio products (audiobooks, lectures, courses, etc.) on CD, cassette and as digital downloads

    If you're interested in participating please PM me your e-mail address or send me an e-mail at jon @ learnoutloud dot com. We'll send you a $25 gift certificate (you'll get free product regardless of whether you win the contest or not). You can use this GC to purchase products from our site. The contest is open to anyone around the world (although if you're outside of the U.S. you'll only be able to purchase downloadable products).

    Then send us your suggestions for how we increase our sales and conversion ratio. We're open to any and all suggestions. We'll end the contest on October 31st and award $150 cash (via Paypal) to the person who provides the best suggestions. In addition, we'll be willing to serve as a reference for you if you're doing any consulting work for other clients.

    Just wanted to post a reminder that we're wrapping up this contest in about a week. We've got some good entries but not of them so there's still a good chance to win.     We had a lot of good entries for this contest and thank everyone who participated. It was really tough to pick the one that stood out so we're actually picking two winners and splitting the prize between them. Congrats to Michalowski and ppritcha who we selected as the winners! And thanks again to all of you who participated. We'll probably do this again sometime. :)
