i agree with mentos except for one thing. The logo should normally not be $50 because nowadays you can get much cheaper.

thank u guys for help but i don't that the prices are fair, most companies charge more than a $100 for a Custom Logo design for your company, it's brand Identity, also for tri-fold brochures i see that many charge $ 200 not $70 as you said.

For a custom web design with blog i don't think it cost $100 at all, if it is please send me the link of the company... the minumum they charge for a small static website is $400.

For Creating Copywriting which mean 10 page of web content it's very cheap, i don't think it's $80, i believe it should be more than that.

I was gonna charge the client $2500 for my services which will take me more than a week of work.

I agree with you impact, the prices that people propose online for design services are absolutely rediculous. $500 for a COMPLETE business start up kit? You gotta be kidding me..

Listen I did something similar for a client with not even close to all of the services you are offering for way way more. I've been a designer for over 10 years and here's what I think:

    Business Starter Identity Pack :

    - Custom Logo design - $150
    - Custom Business Card design - $100
    - Custom Envelope design -$50
    - Custom Letterhead design -$50
    - Custom Brochure Design - $250
    - Custom postcard Design -$175
    - Custom Web Site Design with flash animation, up to 15 pages, blog, contact -$1200
    - Creating Copywriting (Text and Photo content) for site. -$500
    - Professional Web hosting for one year + Domain name + Email -$100
    - Search Engine Submission (Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc.) - $75
    - Free maintenance for one year - worth around $500
    - Basic SEO services; submission to Press release, articles and web directories -$300

I would charge ATLEAST $3500 for a package of this size. If a business isn't willing to spend that on ALL of those services you listed, then they don't deserve to have a quality website and full identity package. It's that simple.

Sure you can find crappy designers to do it for cheap by the dozen, but I am a professional marketer and designer and I charge what a professional would charge for his services. If you want the best you have to pay for the best.

It depends of your work and portfolio for you to make your own price.

Example if your throwing out a live trace item for a logo, you can get your 430 or whatever. But if your professionally creating a logo which can take anywhere from a whole day to months, you can charge $400+ it just depends where you market your self as and who you market your self to.

Take a look at www.logoholik.com www.dache.ch for some examples of prof freelancers. I have no exp of charging for a site but same rule applies, if your chewing up a template and changing the .pngs or slightly resizing the divs your not going to get much as if you were to code it dynamically yourself. Brand your self well and you can charge a lot, just like LV :)

iamays pricing seems ideal. You never want to sell your skills short. I know the temptation of making money make you compromise sometimes but overall you want the experience to be a good one and at the end of the day you want to feel as though you have been compensated fairly.
