i need help I am trying to remove portfolio-view from my permalinks so it can be mysite.com/name instead of mysite.com/portfolio-view/name. I have had 4 different people try to fix this and no-one can. The closest I have got is using the plugin "remove slug from custom post types" which has fixed old posts, but new posts 404 when I try to access the URL. please help me with this, if you can do this then PM me.
I would do away with the "remove slug from custom post types" plugin. Change your permalink structure to what you want going forward, and for the old ones this plugin should work http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-301-redirects/
