One of my WP site is loading... a dead or very slow url/ip..

    I have checked with gtmetrix

and this thing makes my site load very slow:

    http:// 162.210.68.16/test.png

what is it? what is the origin of it? Is it a plugin? an ad?

i am not sure what it's about, i'm trying to "PING" from my terminal "linux console" and its fine :

    fakhri@fakhri-desktop:~$ ping 162.210.68.16
    PING 162.210.68.16 (162.210.68.16) 56(84) bytes of data.
    64 bytes from 162.210.68.16: icmp_req=1 ttl=239 time=267 ms
    64 bytes from 162.210.68.16: icmp_req=2 ttl=239 time=267 ms
    64 bytes from 162.210.68.16: icmp_req=3 ttl=239 time=266 ms

try to put "whatever.txt", and lets try again.

    The site/url:

    http:// 162.210.68.16/test.png

    is not mine...

it is being put into my site without my knowledge... now I want to remove it... but how do I find the plugin/ad that is pulling it?

Need a link to your site.

Weird if I follow that it pulls up google. Someone is lost in translation here.

EDIT: ok, had a space in the url. That code should likely not be in your site. I don't show a domain setup on that IP currently so nothing is going to load from it either way.

Fixed the problem... it is media.net

I removed their ad tag and I do not see that dead link anymore... it is so weird..

I am serving an ad tag from media.net from another guy...

does media.net have backup ads or ad rotation from a 3rd party?

It is very unlikely of them to serve an ad from a dead site/url...

so I am thinking the one messing up is the guy who gave me the ad tag from media.net... he puts his own ad rotation in the tag

I am not entirely sure I just used this to trace where that was actually residing http://centralops.net/co/DomainDossier.aspx if you plugin the IP there it doesn't terminate with anything live or forward facing.
